Twilight: Eclipse

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Edward and Bella

By Edward to Bella

I’ll be back so soon you won’t have time to miss me. Look after my heart – I’ve left it with you.

I was that boy, who would have gotten down on one knee and endeavored to secure your hand. I would have wanted you for eternity, even when the word didn’t have quite the same connotations.

How could you not love this guy?

Cast: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Kellan Lutz, Edi Gathegi

Remember Me

Once in a Blue Moon (not to be confused with New Moon) a film comes along that knocks me on my arse.  Remember Me is such a film.

~Shelli Carlisle, Living Life…Boomer Style Magazine

Cast: Robert Pattinson, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Ruby Jerins, Pierce Brosnan, Emille de Ravin

Seven Pounds

I was attracted to Seven Pounds because there were ideas. There were emotions. There were parts of this character that I was hiding myself from. I took Seven Pounds almost as self-examination — as a self-exploration. ~Will Smith

Cast: Will Smith, Woody Harrelson, Rosario Dawson, Michael Ealy, Barry Pepper

Sex and the City, The Movie

The Raves

It gives you everything you ever loved about the series, and blows it out into super-size cinematic proportions.

~Emily Rems, Premiere

In its cinematic incarnation, Sex and the City has lost none of its bawdiness yet gained a more profound sense of soberness. Parker, especially, who in the last season of the show bordered on insufferable in her affected squeaks and shrieks, is allowed to go to very dark places – to be, in fact, quite unfabulous.

~Kimberley Jones, Austin Chronicle

A movie that taps directly back into the show’s primal appeal, which is the sweet, sad, saucy delight of sharing these women’s company.

~Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly

Cast: Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Mario Cantone, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Jason Lewis, Michael Bloomberg, Kim Cattrall

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

Sisterhood Trivia

The final scene of the movie in which the girls jumped off the cliff was requested by Amber, America and Blake. While in Greece they had seen two teenage boys jump off the cliff; the boys were fans and convinced them to do it too, and the girls asked the director that this be a scene in the movie.

Cast: Amber Tamblyn, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, Rachel Nichols, Tom Wisdom

The Duchess

It is rumored…

The film was heavily marketed with links to Princess Diana (who is a direct descendant of Georgiana’s family, The Spencers), using her image in the trailers, and with a tagline (“There were three people in her marriage”) which is a play upon a quote attributed to the late Royal. Keira Knightley came out and denied the film had any links at all, stating that her character was interesting enough without any comparisons.

Cast: Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes, Charlotte Rampling, Dominic Cooper, Hayley Atwell

Twilight

Based upon the best-selling book series by Stephenie Meyer, vampires have evolved into ‘veggie-vamps’ who don’t require sleep, go out during the day, (provided it’s overcast outside), play sports–baseball– ideally during inclement weather, and see human blood in terms of a highly addictive drug, as in, “Have you got your O-positive fix today?” ~  Art Cofresi, Living Life…Boomer Style Magazine

Cast: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Cam Gigandet, Billy Burke, Ashley Greene
